| Joshua Rome (1953 - ) is an American who lived with his family
for 25 years in near Kyoto, Japan chronicling the life of his rural neighbors.
He was born in America in 1953. Clifton Karhu was his teacher. Collections
of his works are proudly displayed at: British Museum in UK, Library of
Congress, Newark Public Library, Cleveland Museum of Art in USA etc....
He is wonderful woodblock print foreign artist. His works are very attractive for Japanese also. He see "Japan" with different eye. We can feel old Japan with Japanese warm heart through his prints. |
