Original signed limited edition by Clifton Karhu. Edition 42/50 dated '83.  "NANZENJI - SHOINAN "  as printed and published by the artist impressions in 1983. Signed, titled, and numbered by the artist in pencil along the lower margin. Paper size is 18 and 7/8 inches wide by 15 inches tall. Image size 16 inches by 12 inches. Masterful use of colors in this rare earlier Karhu print represents a prime original example of this famous artists works. Very bold and beautiful. Condition is excellent for it's age. A tiny ink smudge and foxing very deep into the margin, would mat beautifully. Toning on the verso. Tape residued on verso. They are very typical. Clifton Karhu passed away in 2007. Now seldom is original Clifton Karhu print for sale. This Limited edition of only 50 sheets is very difficult to obtain.
