"Ushibori no Yugure" ("Twilight at Ushibori") by Kawase Hasui (1883-1957).  First printed 1930 originally by Kawaguchi & Sakai; this is a later printing by Shobisha from original blocks. Shobisha obtained the original blocks in about 1950. Signed  Hasui with red artist seal "sui". Bottom margin contains title "Ushibori no Yugure"  and "Showa 5nen saku"(printed 1930) in Japanese. Pristine condition, never framed, no flaws noted and full margins. Very wonderful "bokashi" shading through print with finely carved details. Old master quality. Paper size is 11 and 7/8 inches by 16 and 3/4 inches. Very Japanese mood, very soft romantic colors beautiful and delicate. A true classic Hasui print of the highest order. Peaceful twilight scene.
