"Yoshinogawa Yanagi no Watashi" (Ferry at Yoshino River in spring) by Kawase Hasui (1883-1957). Serene and peaceful spring with beautiful "bokashi" (gradation of colors) shading. First printed 1950; this is a later printing from original blocks by the original publisher. Signed Hasui with red artist seal "sui". Pristine condition, never framed and full margins.  Published by Watanabe with Watanabe "Heisei" Seal. Very wonderful print. Old master quality. Paper size is 15 and 1/2 inches by 10 and 1/4 inches. Very Japanese mood, very colorful, beautiful and peaceful. Left margin reads title "Yoshinogawa Yanagi no Watashi" (Ferry at Yoshino River in spring)and date "Showa 25 nen saku" (Printed 195o). A true classic Hasui print of the highest order.
