Prefecture is located in the northern part of the Kanto region, which roughly
occupies the central area of the Japan archipelago. Mito, the prefectural
capital is about 100km northeast of Tokyo. This prefecture is mostly flat which
make it very suitable for residences. Izu-ura is a secluded village on the
seacoast well know for good fishing.
