"Kakitsubata"(Japanese Iris) by Kawarazaki Shodo (1889 -1973) First edition dated showa 26nen (1951). Excellent condition for it's age. Paper size is 10 and 5/8 x 15 and 3/4 inches. Published by Unsodo. Unsodo seal in lower right margin and Gei watermark in lower left margin. Left margin top Title "Kakitsubta", signature "Kawarazaki Shodo" as the artist and lower left is date "Showa 26 nen". "Shodo" characters in lower right of image. Genuine Japanese woodblock print. Wonderful details with typical faint Unsodo printer's "smudge" in right margin. Nice colors. Extremely Hard to find Shodo's first edition print.
