"Ao Shobu" (Blue Iris) by Eiichi Kotozuka (1906-1979). Beautiful Japanese Blue Iris depicted with beautiful woodgrain background. Excellent in every respect. Some minor ink smudge on the margins. Later printing on "Uchida" water marked paper and lightly embossed. paper size is 11.8 inches by 17.7 inches. Very wonderful Japanese mood. Please see this beautiful woodgrain.

Eiichi Kotozuka (1906-1979) was born in Osaka and studied at Kyoto City Specialist School of Painting. He made several series with famous landmarks in the Kyoto area and flower prints. In 1948 he was among the founders of Koryokusha Company with Tomikichiro Tokuriki, Kamei Tobei and Takahashi Tasaburo. He is most noted for his landscapes, flower, bird and figure prints. He is winner of many prizes for his art work.
