"Nakabashi"
(Nakabashi Bridge in Kurashiki) by Katsuyuki Nishijima. Nakabashi Bridge--The arched bridge was built
in 1877 and made from a single stone slab. Kurashiki Canal (Part of the Kurashiki river), which flows through the
center of town, is lined with weeping willows and beautiful traditional
houses dating from the Edo period(1603-1868). Most my favorite area around
Nakabashi Bridge. Pristine condition, never framed. Typical very faint
pin point size brown spots on the margins which will be easily mat out.
Please see the pictures. Hand signed in pencil, hand titled in Japanese
and hand numbered by artist, limited edition number 384/500. Width is 17
and 1/2 inches and height is 12 and 1/2 inches. Pole of bridge has Kanji
lettering "Nakabashi"(name of bridge). Wonderful details with
strong colors. Excellent shading, bold colors and strong ink bleed through.
Genuine handmade Japanese woodblock print. This is another limited edition
by Katsuyuki Nishijima who was born 1945 in Yamaguchi, Japan. This print
is one of his popular prints. |
