Only 500 individually numbered limited editions were every produced. Large size, paper width is 17 and 1/4 inches and height is 12 and 1/2 inches. Wonderful details with strong colors. Excellent shading, bold colors and strong ink bleed through. Perfect in every respect. Genuine handmade Japanese woodblock print. This is from a beautiful limited edition by Katsuyuki Nishijima who was born 1945 in Yamaguchi, Japan.

Often called "praying hands", gassho-zukuri is the tradition Japanese farmhouse of roughhewn dark wooden beams fitted together without nails. These large houses with steep very thick thatched roofs were designed to withstand snowy winters.
