"Shiraume"(means White plum blossoms, but this is name of this most Japanese style hotel) by Katsuyki Nishijima. Printed ca:2007. "Shiraume" were "Ochaya" ("Ochaya" is the room where there is Geisha or maiko) at the time of by the establishment of a business of Edo last years in Gion, Kyoto. It was 1949 and switched jobs at a cooking hotel from "Ochaya". Scenery in the four seasons to watch a bridge of the entrance of "Shiraume "in one of the bridges of private possession to depend on Shirakawa river from here is splendid. Pristine condition, never framed. Hand signed in pencil, hand titled in Japanese in the bottom margin, and hand numbered limited edition 93/500 by the artist. Artist seal: (shima). Size: Paper width is 17 and 1/4 inches and height is 12 and 1/2 inches. Wonderful details with strong colors. Excellent shading, bold colors and strong ink bleed through. Tiny ink smudge on the bottom margin corner which is very common and will be eaisly mat out. This is genuine handmade Japanese woodblock limited edition print by Katsuyuki Nishijima who was born 1945 in Yamaguchi, Japan. Please hear wonderful Japan.
