"Kuta no Yuki" (Snow at Kuta, North of Kyoto) by Katsuyuki Nishijima. Printed ca 1996. "Kuta" is well known the area where the private house of the roof of thatch is left. Pristine condition, never framed. A few tiny ink smudge on the bottom margin as shown which is very common, typical of this artist and will be easily mat out. Hand signed in pencil, hand titled in Japanese and hand numbered by artist, limited edition number 130/500. Width is 17 and 1/4 inches and height is 12 and 1/2 inches. Wonderful details with strong colors. Excellent shading, bold colors and strong ink bleed through. Genuine handmade Japanese woodblock print. This is another limited edition by Katsuyuki Nishijima who was born 1945 in Yamaguchi, Japan. Very peaceful snow scene. Contrast of tree and snow is so beautiful.
