"Hisadaya"(Hisadaya Restaurant) by Katsuyki Nishijima. Printed 1994. This print is long out of print. From our own collection. This AP (Artist Proof) is one of only a few known to exist. Limited Edition sizes of only 500 individually numbered sheets were ever produced. Outstanding condition from it's age. Never framed. Some pinpoint size brown spots on the right margin and right bottom margin which are hardly noticeable and will be easily mat out. Hand signed in pencil, hand written "AP", hand titled in Japanese by artist. With artist's official red "shima" seal.
 Japanese-Closet is proud to offer the finest prints. Nishijima's umbrella prints are very attractive and most popular. Specially old (long out print) umbrella prints are hard to find now. Wooden sign in center says "Travel inn", small lantern and shoji door says "Hisadaya". Pristine condition, never framed. Nishijima created same title, different design print in 2009.

  Hisadaya was very famous travel inn in those days since Edo period.
Now Hisadaya is restaurant for Japanese Takayama's area traditional cooking.
