"Amabare" (Fine Weather After Rain) by Katsuyuki Nishijima. First
printed ca:1976. This scene is Kiyamachi street along Takase River in Kyoto.
White umbrella has "Shima" from "Nishijima"(Kanji says
"Nishi-Shima"). Sometimes he hides these little treats for us
to find in his umbrellas and Norens. Pristine condition, never framed.
Hand titled in Japanese by artist, and hand signed. Paper width is
10 and 1/8 inches wide and 13 inches tall. Wonderful details with
strong colors. Excellent shading, bold colors and strong ink bleed through.
Genuine handmade Japanese woodblock print. This is from Japanese
artist Katsuyuki Nishijima who was born 1945 in Yamaguchi, Japan. Very
Japanese mood.
