Bright bold and always
amusing. Very strong and colorful. Very Japanese in every respect. Jiro
Takidaira prints are extremely difficult to find outside of Japan. He was one of
Japan's most famous illustrator for children's
books.

Japanese celebrate tanzaku
by writing wishes on small pieces of paper and hanging them on
bamboo.
