Very popular woodblock print by Koichi Maeda who was born in Tokyo in 1936. "SETONAIKAIJIMA NO YANAMI" (The beach houses of the Inland Sea). This magnificent print was for 2007 CWAJ show. Also this print was top page of calender of CWAJ. Very peaceful scene. "The Inland Sea" is sea area among Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu. There are many islands both big islands and small islands more than 2,000 and shows typical archipelago scenery. This important sea lane links Kyushu, the continent to area near, to Kyoto from ancient times.
