"Asa no Aami" (Waves in the Morning) by Shiro Kasamatsu (1898-1992). Paper size is 10 and 3/4 by 16 inches. Unsodo "Gei watermark" lower left margin corner. Signed "Shiro" with seal "Shiro". Carver: Nagashima; Printer: Shinmi. Excellent condition. Excellent shading and ink bleed through. Wonderful details with typical Unsodo printer's "smudge" on the margins. Genuine Japanese woodblock print. Undated. First published in 1956 this later impression from original wooden blocks and hand printed. Very beautiful colors.
