We are very pleased to be able to offer this extremely rare Mezzotint etching by Japanese artist Kaoru Saito (born 1931). "Katorea to Cho"(Cattleya and Butterflies), Limited Edition 25/70 dated '96. This is pencil signed by the artist, dated, and titled in Japanese by the artist. Limited edition size of only 70 sheets. This is sheet 25 of 70. Limited Edition paper measures 14 and 5/8 inches wide by 19 and 1/2 inches tall. Large size. Paper has deeply embossed seal on the lower left corner on the margin. Very good condition. Tiny paper scuff on the upper right corner on the margin which is very very faint (look like very natural) 1/4 inch edge of paper, so it will be easily mat out. Truly beautiful colors. He expresses butterflies gathering around the splendid cattleya lively by his masterful technique. This beautiful print brings tranquility and relaxation into any room.
