We are very pleased to be able to offer this rare Mezzotint etching by Japanese artist Kaoru Saito (born 1931). "Hana Akari" (Floert Light), Limited Edition 74/85. This is pencil signed by the artist. Limited edition size of only 85 sheets. Printed ca. 1984. This is sheet 74 of 85. Limited Edition paper measures 15 inches wide by 17 and 7/8 inches tall. Pristine condition. The print comes in the original folder.

"Hana Akari" from "The Tale of Genji", which was written by Lady Murasaki-shikibu in the Heian Period. The novel chronicled the life of prince Genji and the people around him in the court. Countless stories, films, poems and paintings have been made after this classic masterpiece of Japanese literature.
